At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, the entry level sailing sector saw the arrival of new proposals ranging from models of 10 to 16 meters. These yachts, designed for those seeking access to sailing without having to invest in large boats, stand out for modern design, spacious interior spaces and cutting-edge technology. Among the most interesting news, the Dufour 37, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 385, the Bavaria C38, the Amel 50.2 and the More 40, all presented as ideal options for those who want to explore the ocean in an accessible and comfortable way.
Design and comfort: the main characteristics of entry level boats
The entry level boats are not necessarily small, but they represent access to a certain range of a yard. The Dufour 37, for example, is the evolution of the historical 360, with a well among the most wide and vivable of its category and bright and spacious interiors. The length outside everything is 10.77 meters, with a vacuum displacement of 6.747 kg and a fuel tank of about 160 liters. The Bavaria C38, instead, stands out for the hull lines with the characteristic “chine” aft, guaranteeing exceptional interior volumes. The hull is designed by the studio Cossutti, known for the cruise boats of the German giant.
The Dufour 37 offers a family and sports cruise experience, with modern and spacious interiors.
New to Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 385
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 385, presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival, is another option of interest for those looking for an accessible and comfortable boat. 11.75 meters long, this boat is designed to make navigation more accessible, safe and pleasant. Developed with four hands by two specialized studies, the vessel collects the heritage of the Sun Odyssey 380, further aging its marine qualities. The sail plan is optimized, with a raised tree of more than 25 cm and a raised frog of more than 2 m2. Customization is guaranteed by three zavorra configurations, three armo options and modular interiors suitable for each cruise program.

The blanket offers tilted and barrier-free passers, with a continuous walk from the well. The external layout provides a clear separation between the area dedicated to maneuvers and the relaxation area, integrating a small well on the water level and protective seats. The entire project is inspired by the mission of the French construction site, with a focus on comfort and versatility.
The More 40, for example, is one of the most dynamic and sporty interpreters of the lot, born from the experience in the world of competitions of Cossutti Yacht Design. This boat combines stretched lines, an optimized weight and a generous sail plan, with a displacement half load of 7,000 kg and a fuel tank of 180 liters. The Amel 50.2, on the other hand, embodies the evolution of a philosophy that favours security, uncompromising construction and oceanic navigation even in couple. With a length of 16.70 meters, this boat offers luxurious interiors and a robust structure, suitable for long crossings.
The entry level boats are an accessible alternative for those who want to explore the ocean, without sacrificing comfort and quality.
