A cutting-edge design and technology project
The Bluegame BGX83 represents a significant step forward for the yacht range of the company. Designed by Zuccon International Project, the BGX83 combines the elegance and space of a superyacht with the agility and versatility of a motoryacht. The basic idea, defined as “crossover”, is based on the fusion of two distinct concepts: the hospitality and grandeur of a luxury unit and the ability to move and resist a smaller but performing unit. This balance was carefully treated by Luca Santella, CEO and founder of Bluegame, former world champion of sailing.
BGX83 is an example of how innovation can find space in a constantly evolving sector.
The ship was first presented at Boot Dusseldorf in January, where it was the largest boat exposed. Subsequently, it was seen in the water in Porto Carlo Riva, north of Portofino, where it demonstrated its ability to move and comfort. Its structure has been designed to offer spacious and functional spaces, with an asymmetric design that allows to accommodate different types of activities.
A design that fits every need
The BGX83 stands out for its long bow and its modern and functional interior configuration. The main area, with asymmetric design, offers spacious and well-organized spaces, such as the main hall and the dining area. The presence of a folding babord bulwark allows to expand the beach club, while an optional sterned crane offers additional versatility. The internal structure was designed in collaboration with Lissoni & Partners, who curated the different furniture schemes.
The BGX83 is on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival before reaching its landing port in Malta.
The ship was built with particular attention to privacy and comfort, with permanently shielded windows but that allow the entrance of natural light. Access to the main hall is through stairs connecting the lower area with the upper part. The main cabin is equipped with a king size bed and a private bathroom, with customization options to meet the needs of guests.
The marina of Porto Carlo Riva, where the BGX83 found an environment suitable for its use, was rebuilt after a serious natural event in 2018, allowing access to 250 units up to 200 feet. BGX83 is an example of how innovation can find space in a constantly evolving sector.
The Bluegame has a series of new releases, including the BG44, which will replace the BG42, and the BG84, which is based on the same platform as the BGX83. Moreover, the ship is equipped with a triple propulsion engine, with three 900-horse Volvo Penta D13 engines each, which allow a maximum speed of about 30 knots and a cruise speed up to 28 knots. The driving experience has been tested in the open sea in Rapallo, where the ship has demonstrated an excellent manoeuvrability and a perfect balance between stability and agility. The cockpit, with a wide view and a controlled acoustic, recorded a noise level of about 55 decibels at 10-28 knots, a data confirming the attention to comfort.
