ClubSwan 28 is a compact one-design designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian for a crew of four. The length of the hull is 8,50 meters, but the value out all inclusive of bompresso reaches 10,70 meters. Nautor Swan developed it as an entrance into its sports range, with fiberglass construction, carbon tree, lifting keel and a system dedicated to the recovery of the carrier sail. What defines ClubSwan 28

The material declared for hull and blanket is fiberglass. The tree is carbon. Liftable keel and logistics
The lifting keel is central part of the ClubSwan 28 system. It reduces the vertical footprint for transport and handling and makes it easier to move the fleet between different locations. Before each transfer it is best to control lifting mechanism, fixing points, trolley supports and pin protection. Carbon tree without paternity
The rig employs a carbon tree and does not provide patrol. The absence of the stern cable frees the passage of the frog and reduces a manoeuvre, but requires a coherent geometry between tree, tailors and attacks. The shape of the tree and the tension of the straw therefore become variable to manage with the system provided by the project, not with arbitrary additions.
Before the exit you must inspect tree foot, crucifixes, terminals, tailors, drizzes and points of attack. In a one-design fleet it is essential to record the adjustments in a repeatable way. Kite retrieves and bow door
The ClubSwan 28 uses a carrier sail recovery system associated with a sliding bow door. The function is to quickly carry the sail inside and reduce the free volume on the bridge during the lowering. For functions, top recovery, points of passage and sail must be prepared without twists or overlaps.
Before departure you have to open and close the dry door, check that the top runs, check the connection to the point provided on the sail and simulate at least one recovery. Salt, sand or cross top can increase friction. The system makes the maneuver ordered only if the preparation is as ordered.

Well and distribution of the four roles
The well is designed for four people with internal posture. In practice, rudder, frog, bow and bow must be coordinated without overlapping the paths. The lightness of the boat also makes the longitudinal and lateral position of the crew relevant, but the modes must comply with the applicable rules and safety.
An effective distribution arises from explicit tasks: who confirms the straightness, who frees recovery, who controls the rock and who keeps the course. The reduction of the number of people does not reduce the actions; it makes them more dependent on the sequence. The real weight ready to race must be managed according to class; the length with bompress must be considered in the handling spaces; the fishing of 1,80 meters is valid with the keel in operational configuration.

It is not the choice for those who want cabins, cruise plants or freedom of customization. It is consistent for those who value circuit, quality of training, repeatability of adjustments and access to a class community as parts of the product.
