An evolution of the 916 model with more comfortable interiors

The CPR Ziggurat 995, launched in 1981, represents a step ahead of the previous model 916, maintaining the sport footprint but improving the comfort of the interior. Designed by Andrea Vallicelli and produced by the CPR yards of Fiumicino, Ziggurat 995 was one of the first examples of sailboat that combined high performance with well-designed interior spaces. Its construction in fiberglass and the combination with balsa sandwiches and fiberglass allowed a light but robust structure, ideal for sea navigation.

Well designed interiors and fiberglass furniture

Coming down from the cockpit, immediately to the left is the kitchen block, in front of which is placed the navigation area with table and sat nav. Continuing you access the square, which is equipped with dinettes with table lowerable to get a double bed, and a bunk- sofa. From the square, a door enters the toilet that takes all the width of the boat. From the bathroom you can access the bow cabin, with two bunks, to which a man step gives air and light and allows the possible passage of the sails.

CPR has introduced significant innovation with already installed fiberglass interior furniture.
This allowed to provide the boat “almost finished” at very low and very competitive costs. The customer must only take care of the finishing and brushing part, greatly reducing the time and cost of customization. The engine, an R-16, is in a room illuminated by a ceiling light and can be accessed from both the square and the cockpit. The price of the boat is 51,800.000 excluding VAT.

A long-term experience and international success

The CPR began to build the first sailing and motor boats in 1974, but the real launch in the sailing industry took place in 1977 with the Ziggurat 916, the first boat designed by Vallicelli. This boat had a lot of sympathy and interest during the 1976 World Championships. The Ziggurat 916 series has constituted an earlier difficult to repeat in the world of nautical. This boat has won for a good number of years the most important national and international races. The Ziggurat 995 has proven to be a versatile and suitable model for various nautical activities.
In the wake of success, the CPR-Vallicelli binomium has further consolidated and has completed the Ziggurat range with the construction of 812 and the last born Ziggurat 995, which has behaved very well in the recent Italian championships of Punta Ala. The CPR currently has two sheds, in one of which the construction of the fiberglass is carried out and in the other the boats are equipped and set up.

A future focused on a single construction site

The company's programme provides for the concentration of all production in a single yard that will be built in the years 1982/83 with a covered surface of approximately 3000. Most of the production is oriented towards larger boats, with about thirty units of the 995 model planned for 1981, fifteen of 812 and fifteen of 916. This demonstrates the continuous evolution of the CPR yard, which focuses on high quality models and with a design that meets the requirements of navigation and comfort.
