When a central GX stops showing a regulator, it changes the main counter or no longer sends data, the total reset is almost always a diagnosis too early. The fault can be found in the power supply, cable, termination, instance, local network, internet access or remote portal. the procedure must separate these levels and preserve a known functioning state. Cerbo GX, GX Touch, Ekrano GX and GlobalLink devices do not have the same role or the same connections. It intervenes on the real model, with evidence, backup and repeatable evidence.
Picture the state before touching
They now record the problem, screenshots, spies, messages, visible devices, latest remote data and recent changes. A photo of doors and cabling helps to recognize loose or moved connectors. You do not erase history and configuration before saving them, because they may indicate when the anomaly began. It is noted if the defect is continuous or appears with start, dock, inverter, generator or network loss. This instantaneous prevents subsequent attempts to change simultaneously cause and symptom.
Identify drives, variants and software
The commercial name is not enough: code, variant, display, accessories and software version are read. Cerbo GX, Cerbo GX MK2, Ekrano GX and connectivity devices can offer different equipment. The correct procedure is taken from the manual associated with the drive, not from a screen found on another boat. Connected devices, firmware and interfaces are also listed. If a function does not exist on the installed model, no reset will make it appear. The inventory becomes the basis of diagnosis and future file.

Control power, protection and mass
Before the network, the power is measured at the points provided and during the condition that the defect generates. Internal fuse at sight, vacuum voltage or uncertain mass is not sufficient evidence. They control protection, clamps, fall, return and stability during authorized switching. Random reboots can depend on the line and not on the software. The power station must turn off and rekindle according to procedure, without repeated cycles. If the power supply is shared with disturbing loads, the project occurs before moving conductors.

Separate fault and central display
A black screen doesn't show the power station is off. The power supply and connection of the display occurs, then you look for the drive with a second supported local interface. If data exists elsewhere, the display branch is diagnosed without resetting the communication center. If no interface responds, you return to power and drive status. Brightness, suspension or page change are not confused with data loss. The remedy is tested by switching off and turning on second manual, not disconnecting random connectors.

Check a device at a time
When only one device is missing, other connections become a useful control. It identifies its actual interface, inspects the correct cable and occurs the local state of the apparatus. VE.Direct, VE.Can and VE.Bus follow different rules; a physically compatible adaptor does not replace the intended one. On the networks that require terminations, the complete topology is controlled. You avoid moving more cables together. After each intervention you wait for the necessary time, register the result and restore the configuration if the test does not explain the defect.
Read doors, terminations and adapters
The port assigned in the file is compared to the real one. Uninputed connectors, damaged tabs, traction, oxide, moisture and extensions are sought. The terminations remain only where the network is expected. A test cable must be known and suitable, not a similar cable taken from another service. Adapters have documented direction and function. If the problem changes moving the wiring, the repair does not consist in blocking it in a fortunate position: they replace part and pose responsible.
Check names, instances and main source
A device can be present but appear under an unexpected name or feed a different summary. They compare names, instances and sources with the known backup. Two battery monitors, regulators or inverters require unique identification. The charging status is returned to the sensor that calculates it, not only to the number displayed. If the main source has changed after an update or replacement, it will correct with criterion and check all the dependent pages. Physical and digital labels must return to coincide.

Compare the data with an independent measure
A visible value is not necessarily correct. Voltage, current, temperature or level are compared to an appropriate tool or physical condition, respecting safety and accuracy. The same size is observed at the same time on the apparatus, central, display and remote. Time differences may result from updating and recording; stable differences require source, scale or configuration. The comparison does not allow to change parameters until sensor and wiring have been verified. Each correction is annotated and repeated.
Distinguish local network, router and internet
If the local interface works but the remote does not receive data, the power station is not automatically broken. Connecting to your router, address, local service, modem power and internet access is controlled. Wi-Fi, Ethernet and external modems are diagnosed according to the actual configuration. A phone connection to the mobile network does not prove that the on-board router is online. You first test the local route, then the internet exit. Restoration occurs when receiving new samples, without confusing historical data with data that has just been transmitted.

Check date, time and remote recording
Now incorrect, inconsistent casting or prolonged absence of connectivity can make it difficult to interpret the historian. They compare local time of the power station, date of the last contact and sequence of events. It is not concluded that an alarm has happened now only because it has just appeared on the phone. The remote portal is checked with the correct account and with sufficient rights. The associated installation is that of the boat under consideration. A new identifiable data closes the transmission test, while the historian remains preserved.
VRM not reachable: layer test
The diagnosis starts from the station, passes by local network and internet, then arrives at remote service and account. Messages and status are noted without immediately removing the installation from the portal. If multiple internet devices work, you have to try out the specific path; if no one works, you intervene on the router or connectivity. Expired credentials and permissions are not electrical failures. After restoration, you will check data update, notifications and access from a second authorized device, avoiding personal accounts of the technician.
Alarms absent, late or repeated
We read the actual threshold, delay, hysteresis available, source size and recipient. A remote alarm also requires registration and connection; the local one must be checked separately. The event is simulated only safely, with a controlled value or input. If the alarm fluctuates, do not raise the threshold to silence it before controlling sensor and plant. Closing requires generated event, local indication, registration and reception. It also documents the procedure if the remote channel is missing.

Digital inputs, relays and sensors
When an input shows a reverse or a relay does not follow the expected logic, they confirm function, polarity, wiring and model of the central. Quantity and features are not copied from another GX unit. A temperature or level sensor requires compatible type and scale; a wireless sensor requires association and power. The exits aren't being bridged to see what happens. You try the input by expected method and the relay on a secure load or interface, then you experience the resting state and loss power.
Automation and start of the generator
If automatic logic does not intervene, conditions, permissions, output, interface and machine are separated. An incorrect or absent state of charge may prevent or anticipate the action. Before a test it makes the area safe and follows the generator procedure. A switching relay does not show that the engine is gone; a party generator does not show that the charge is available. Stop, manual exclusion, alarm and behavior occur when the power station or network lose.

Before the upgrade save the known working
Firmware and reboot are controlled steps, not initial attempts. Configuration, screenshots, names, instances, device list and accesses are saved. We read the notes of the applicable version and ensure stable power supply and technical presence. After the update, the minimum occurs: start, devices, sources, displays, network, remote and alarms. If a new defect appears, the comparison with the backup reduces uncertainty. Factory resets and restoration procedures are used only when documented and with concrete possibility to rebuild the system.
Ordered restart and sequence of devices
When reboot is justified, it identifies which devices must remain active and which sequence is allowed. Quick cycles are avoided that can corrupt diagnosis or stress contactors and sources. The power station is left to complete the start, then there are apparatuses that reappear and relative times. A slow device is not declared fault before the expected window. If the order changes the result, the dependence is reported in the file and corrected in the project when it is not intentional. The reboot must be repeatable by the crew.
Degraded mode test
It disconnects in a controlled way internet and occurs what remains available locally. Then it simulates the absence of the display or a single device without compromising protection and critical services. The crew must be able to read the essential quantities with the planned reserve route and apply the isolation procedures. On the return of the network you control synchronization, new data and alarms. A boat that loses all energy information when the router turns off has an architectural problem, although the remote portal works perfectly in the dock.
Closure of diagnosis and verbal
The remedy is closed only when the original symptom is reproduced or explained, the cause is identified and the final test crosses all the levels involved. The minutes contain initial status, measures, changes, replaced parts, final configuration and limits. Schemes, labels, backups and accesses are updated. A simple one works now is not enough if you do not know what action has corrected the problem. the procedure thus retains a basis for the next intervention and prevents a future update to restore names, thresholds or wrong connections.
Operating verdict
When the GX data disappears, it proceeds from the physical to the logic and from the local to the remote: power, unit, device, interface, name, network, internet, portal and alarm. Cerbo GX, GX Touch, Ekrano GX and GlobalLink are treated according to function and real equipment. The total reset comes only after backup and diagnosis, not before. A good repair returns an understandable system, with compared values, accesses of the owner and proven degraded mode. This is more than the green screen, which shows the availability of energy supervision.
