The Grand Soleil 60 Long Cruise is a new cruise yacht that stands out for a rare balance between comfort and performance. Designed by Matteo Polli and Nauta Design, the 60 Long Cruise has been tested at sea and has proven to be able to move well even in unideal conditions, maintaining speed, balance and a remarkable ease of conduction. With a length of 19.68 meters and a maximum of 5.80 meters, the yacht offers important volumes, generous storage capacity and tanks sized to face long permanences on board. The test at sea revealed extremely balanced behaviour, with a feeling of safety and stability even in limited wind conditions.
A project that combines performance and comfort
The Grand Soleil 60 Long Cruise was designed to really navigate, even when the destination is far from the starting port. Its design aims to reconcile performance and comfort without one of the two dimensions necessarily having to prevail over the other. The hull, signed by Matteo Polli, was designed to offer stability and efficiency, while Nauta Design designed interior and exterior with special attention to comfort. The result is an extraordinaryly harmonious work, able to satisfy the needs of those looking for a complete and pleasant browsing experience.
The test at sea revealed extremely balanced behaviour, with a feeling of safety and stability even in limited wind conditions. With a real wind speed of 5.5 knots, the boat proceeds at the same speed as the wind, or 5.5 knots. The frog is flat like a blade and the boat keeps an amazingly constant gait. It is not necessary to force the sail plan: the 60 Long Cruise seems to find its own balance alone, spontaneously, and manages to keep it with simplicity. The feeling at the helm remains always light and precise, even increasing the gait.
A complete navigation experience
The Grand Soleil 60 Long Cruise is an important boat but can be conducted with extreme ease even by one person. Everything appears designed to reduce unnecessary shifts and make maneuvers management immediate. The boat does not slow down even if the wind is poor, responds immediately to the rudder and maintains stable and precise behavior. The beam is important and is perceived immediately: the width contributes clearly to the feeling of safety and solidity. On board, there are numerous Tibetans distributed along the strategic points of the blanket. They are not only added elements to increase safety, but are part of a project in which comfort was developed along with practicality.
The test at sea revealed extremely balanced behaviour, with a feeling of safety and stability even in limited wind conditions. The French bed is close to the tree and this arrangement, in addition to being an uncommon solution on a yacht of this size, allows to perceive very little beaking. The Grand Soleil 60 Long Cruise is a yacht that does not only look for absolute performance, but a more complex balance: go well, consume the right, be safe and comfortable and, above all, continue to be pleasant even when sailing lasts many hours or many days.
