The Lomac GranTurismo 14.0X is a maxi RIB of 14.40 meters out of everything and 4.15 meters wide, with eight air chambers, 72 cm tubular and declared capacity of 16 people. The yard indicates a vacuum weight of 5,800 kg, maximum applicable power of three 450 hp engines and recommended power of three from 300 hp. The technical review must, however, go beyond the sum of the engines: configuration, pressures, accesses, plants and accessories determine reliability and ease of management.
Technical data of GranTurismo 14.0X
The yard measures are accompanied by a declared tolerance of ±3% for weights and dimensions. Preventive, professional trailer, invaded and boat seat must therefore use the documentation of the unit, not a number copied from a commercial card. The design category is B. The term “twinshell” identifies the hull in the Lomac documentation, while the tubular is in classic-cut neoprene. Nominal pressure and geometry must be controlled at comparable temperature.

How to read the twinshell hull
The yard describes hulls developed with CFD studies and a vacuum infusion construction with vinyl resin, neopentilic gelcoat and aramid fibres in T-top reinforcements, blanket and hull. These indications should be translated into concrete controls: surface uniformity, joints, supports, engine areas, added holes and drainage. We have not performed an independent test and do not deduce velocity from the shape; the specimen must be tried with load, propellers and tied sea.

Eight rooms and pressure of 0.20 bar
Eight separate rooms limit the consequences of a localized loss only if diaphragms, valves and fabric are intact. Control starts cold, records pressure and temperature, then repeats the measurement after a defined interval. The sun can increase the pressure and the evening decrease does not automatically experience a loss. We inspect glues, cones, rubbing areas, fittings, valves and repairs. Pump, gauge and repair kit are part of the standard equipment declared and must be really present.
Diameter 72 cm and steps
The large diameter contributes to lateral protection and geometry of the RIB, but reduces the useful width compared to 4.15 meters outside. For this reason we measure passages between consoles, seats and tubular, especially with people sitting or open doors. The tubular should not become the only appellate. Corrimani, tientibene and anti-slip surfaces must create continuous pathways from stern to bow. Contact points with piers and parabords require protections that do not constrain abrasion.

Three outboard and mirror height
The board admits up to 3 × 450 hp and suggests 3 × 300 hp; it also indicates mirror heights from 2 × 635 and 1 × 762 mm. Models, stem, propellers, relationship, rigging and masses must appear in the approved configuration. Three engines multiply filters, batteries, cablings, fuel lines and maintenance points. Synchronization does not replace individual control: during the test there are turns, temperatures, charge, vibration and response of each unit.
Balance and government with an engine excluded
A triple installation offers redundancy possibilities, but the boat must have procedures to isolate fuel and electricity of the engine in the avary. The ability to govern with one or two operating units must be verified in a safe area, without turning control into a performance test. The masses on the mirror require attention to locks, seals and infiltration. After collisions or replacements of propellers, vibrations, motor alignment and poppier area integrity are compared.

1000 liters of fuel
The standard published equipment includes a 1,000 litre stainless steel tank with probe, filters and taps. The autonomy is not obtainable without measured consumption: configuration of the engines, speed, sea, load and cleaning of the hull significantly change it. They map feeds, returns, vents and valves; they calibrate the level with known quantities and preserves a reserve. Filters and taps must be achieved without exposure to warm components or remove complex furnishings.
Battery and distribution system
Lomac declares a four- batteries system with diverters and charger. The number does not describe useful skills, chemistry or separation of utilities. You need a “as built” scheme that distinguishes start-up, services and critical devices; fuses, sections, masses and chargers; it allows you to isolate a fault. Refrigerators, winch, electric table, pumps, lights and automatic inflator create different peaks. A voltage drop test is more informative than just reading at rest.

Console, dashboard and visibility
The standard console includes windscreen, stainless handles, sliding door of the cabin, side port, navigation lights, covered steering wheel, compass, trumpet and a panel with 17 switches and fuses. Each command must have a legible label and consistent protection. The visibility is seated and standing, with people on the sun and with the open curtain. The instruments should not mask engine alarms and the compass should be checked after the installation of the electronics.
Electronics and optional cameras
Declared accessories include VHF Garmin 315i, camera for inspection of the hard top, gavone chain camera and chain counter. They are aids, not substitutes for direct inspection or visa. The electronic project must specify data network, power supplies, protections, updates and behavior in case of fault display. The cameras must be controlled in the dark and with sprays; the VHF requires antenna verification and test call according to the procedures allowed.

Verricello, again and fifty meters of chain
The equipment includes electric winch with console and bow control, still 20 kg stainless steel and 50 meters of chain calibrated. They control fastening, counterplate, drainage, chain passage and possibility of manual release. The double command requires interlocking to avoid involuntary drives. The front mooring accessory in the gavone and the bow lifts should be evaluated together with the available space, without hindering chain and inspection.
Two-seater cabin
The standard cabin is described with two beds, ergonomic mattress, American walnut furniture, smoke detector, adjustable lamps, 12 and 220 V sockets, built-in electric framework and teak floor. Initially, ventilation, exits, lighting, locks and access to the picture. The detector must have date and test procedure. 220 V sockets require differential, grounding and verification of power from dock or onboard source.

Separate bath and black water
The declared bathroom includes sink, hot and cold water, mirror, porthole, separate shower, teak carabott, walnut furniture and electric toilet with 80 litre tank. The Italian page associates that volume to the exhaust circuit; manual and schema must clarify exactly content, valves, vents and suction point. They try pump, indicator, seal and ventilation. Persistent odours require diagnosis of pipes, seals and vents.
100 liters of water and boiler
The outdoor shower uses a 170 litre tank, with autoclave, compensator and level indicator. Boiler 12 or 220 V are optional. Before adding, absorption, heating time, protection and real capacity of the battery or AC source are calculated. The plant is tried with more open and then closed utilities: a pump that distributes signal loss or decrease of pressure. Filters, fittings and drains must remain accessible.

Frigoriferi e cambusa configurabile
The guide bench includes a 75-litre stainless-steel refrigerator and a sink with a folding tap. The options include units of 95 or 182 liters, with refrigerator/freezer or refrigerator/fridge configurations, even at 220 V. The choice changes ventilation, absorption and autonomy. Drainage, closures, air circulation and access to the compressor occur. The contractual list must avoid ambiguous descriptions on the second drawer.
Hard top, tents and high loads
The missing stern curtain is standard; the hard top in fiberglass with wiper is optional. The yard indicates aramid reinforcements in the areas of T-top, but antennas, lights, cameras and additional panels must respect loads and points provided. Actuators, drains, locks and manual control are tested. A high change of exposure to wind and maintenance; cabling and fixing should not create waterways to consoles and cabins.

Air conditioning, generator and AC loads
The options include air conditioning and single-phase diesel generator of 230 V, 50 Hz and 3,000 rpm with soundproof casing. Power, position and model must be defined in the estimate. The generator requires unloading, cooling, ventilation, stop and access to filters; the air conditioning adds sea sockets, pumps and condensate drains. The budget must consider the point of compressors and contemporaneity, keeping margin for chargers and essential utilities.
Cover and safety accessories
Retractable stainless steel ladder, towing rings and mooring, bitte, paddles, shower and teak in the outside areas are listed among the equipment. The options add 40 kgf bow propeller, carbon catwalk, underwater lights, additional ladder and multifunction rod. Each accessory must have maximum load, instructions and inspection. The underwater lights introduce passages into the hull; the bow propeller requires battery, fuse, ventilation and tunnel access.

delivery controls of GranTurismo 14.0X
Before the promotion to ready units we weigh or document engines and optional, there are pressures of the eight rooms, CE tag, flow, tanks and electric schematic. Individually try engines, batteries, pumps, winch, table, refrigerator, bathroom and emergency controls. No speed is attributed without proof of the specimen. Contract, manual, serial and configuration must coincide, including the height of the central and lateral stem.
Technical evaluation
The Lomac GranTurismo 14.0X offers a 14.40-metre platform with cabin, bathroom, a thousand-liter fuel and configuration up to three outboards. The wealth of the equipment requires a plant approach, not from simple inflatable: accesses, electrical separation, drainage and weight discipline are central. For the expert buyer the value lies in the consistency of the specimen. A precise capitulate and instrumental test count more than the maximum available power.
