82 Ocean Enclosed is for those who want long stays and multi-season use. The value is not the maximum, but the possibility of living neatly at 10–12 knots. A well-designed capitulate must favour redundancy and maintenance with respect to aesthetic customization alone.

The plate data are project references. The test must specify people, liquids, equipment and conditions: a speed or autonomy without trim and reserve is not a repeatable data.
Component analysis by component
Upper deck closed
The fully closed upper bridge brings together rudder and climate hall. Vetrates, doors, HVAC and debriation become part of the conduction. The only main station must preserve visibility and local controls; cameras and wing stations help, but do not eliminate blind corners.
Volumes on three levels
Approximately 1.770 inner square feet spread over three bridges allow four or five cabins and shipowning on the main or lower. The choice changes service center, privacy and crew ways. Each layout must be checked on escapes, ventilation and access to technical premises.
MAN up to 3,300 PS
The axle propulsion takes 25 meters to about 25 knots. At 10-12 knots are declared up to 900 miles, condition very different from the maximum. Loading curves, temperatures, vibrations and consumption per side must be recorded with 8,500 liters distributed.
Beach club
The stern is a social and technical area. Doors, platform, showers and water toy storages must maintain drainage and separation from the machine room. The weight of dinghy and equipment is included in the calculation; hydraulic systems must have mechanical blocks and emergency control.
Water networks
A thousand five hundred liters of fresh water and 800 blacks support many guests. Transfer pumps, autoclaves, boiler and treatment must be redundant. A failure must not stop all the toilets. Labeling and possibility to isolate each branch are details from professional yachts.
Generation and stability
Air conditioning of the upper deck, kitchen and cabin requires two sources of generation and management of peaks. Geared stabilizers and anchor improve comfort, but must be tried locally. Black-out and sequential reboot are part of the sea trial, not a theoretical simulation.
Engine, transmission and response
Traditional axes and MAN up to 3,300 total PS carry 74,6 tons to 25 knots. The most consistent data with the project is the range of 900 miles to 10–12 knots: the boat should be thought of as a long-range cruiser, not as a sports yacht. With 8,500 liters of fuel are essential tank separation, oil treatment, duplex filtration and consumption monitoring for each engine.
In the sea trial we would note turns, knots, consumption, temperature, noise and vibration at stable intervals. We would also try degraded manoeuvre, arrests and local commands. Electronics and joysticks increase precision, but they do not have to hide mechanical differences between the two sides or a incorrect trim.
Available configurations: how to choose
The owner on the main bridge values the volume and separates the guests; the lower one can free more salon. Five cabins and many toilet toy require equipment, laundry, refrigeration and higher generation. The arrangement must be decided together with the specific technique, not after.
The choice must be made before sizing batteries, generator, tanks and storages. Changing advanced capitulate layout or propulsion can leave over or undersized plants, or concentrate mass where the famine tolerates it less.
Accessories and onboard services
Master on the main or lower deck
In the capitulate they must be declared brand, model, weight installed and position. It is also necessary to identify power supply, protection and access for disassembly: the commercial name of the option, alone, does not allow to assess its integration and maintenance.
Fifth cabin according to guest/ crew profile
The verification does not end with the ignition in the dock. The component must be tested with engine, generator or network services under the conditions provided, annoting absorption and alarms. Local commands and emergency procedures must appear in the on-board documentation.
Zero-speed stabilization and navigation
This item changes the operating configuration and can move electric masses or loads. Before the order, a scheme is needed, the consumption data and the interference with the existing gavones, passages and equipment. It should be added to the spare parts plan.
Double generator with parallel and load shedding
The installation must preserve inspection of valves, filters, fixings and nearby cablings. We would also ask what assistance can be made in frequent areas and what mode can be used if sensor, display or actuator is not available.
Cameras, radars, AIS and satellite communications
The benefit is real only if crew and plant can support it. In the test the continuous operation is measured, not a demonstration of a few seconds; in the manual must be limits, maintenance and conditions that require not to use it.
Beach club setting for tender and water toy weighed
Before delivery, this equipment must be included in the technical inventory with registration, schema and wear parts. The full weight includes brackets, cables, fluids and accessories: it is the complete value, not that of the only device, which enters the balance of the boat.
Layout, ergonomics and hidden plants
Four or five cabins and as many baths, master on the main deck or at all bay below and large upper deck closed allow deep customizations. Beach club, spa, tender and water toy increase the need for lifting and storing. Air conditioning, stabilization, two generators, redundant watermakers, water treatment and AV network require technical spaces left accessible, even if they subtract centimeters to the furnishings.
We would open all the panels to identify sea sockets, pumps, valves, filters and connections. We would change drains with water, ventilation with closed environments and possibility to reach emergency equipment in night and day configuration.

In pre-purchase control or delivery testing we would not limit ourselves to visible finish. On this model we would put in writing at least these points:
Visibility and redundancy of the closed rumonery
The point should be documented with photography, initial condition and result after the test. If different games, losses or values emerge between the sides, the cause must be isolated before acceptance.
MAN curves to operational displacement
No static verification is enough: a complete cycle is needed under operating conditions and a second hot check. Noise, temperature, absorption or abnormal pressure must become a measure, not an impression.
Black-out and reboot of HVAC loads
We would ask for physical access, schema and isolation procedure. The component must be able to be reached with the mounted furniture and without making any other essential function of the boat.
Drainage and closure of the beach club
The minutes must distinguish ordinary wear, regulation and defect. For each anomaly, spare parts, hours of work, any feed and consequences on use until restoration are indicated.
Insulation of water and black water branches
The result must be compared with the configuration delivered and the maintenance historian. Software, calibrations or subsequent modifications must be recorded along with the date and subject that has performed the operation.
General control also includes CE documentation, freshmen, work history, fire protection, batteries, bilge and insulation tests where relevant. The anomalies must be quantified in hours, spare parts and boat stop, not described with a generic “to be reviewed”.
Reasoned maintenance plan
Before each exit
Quick control must include visibility and redundancy of the closed rudder and MAN curves to operational displacement. Levels, bilge, alarms and mandatory safety equipment occur before starting, when an anomaly can still be corrected without operational pressure.
After navigation or heavy use
Salt, heat and vibration make priority black-out and reboot of HVAC loads and drainage and closures of the beach club. The rinse should not push water into the connectors; hot inspections should be carried out respecting protections and cooling times.
Seasonal cutting
In addition to the cycles prescribed by the manufacturer, we would insert insulation of the water and black water branches in the annual report. Photographs, fluid analysis when relevant, alarm logs and operating hours allow you to read a trend before you become still boat.
Who really needs it
The original name Ocean 156 indicated the stazza, not the length: the concept remains evident in the glare of 6,56 meters, in the vertical bow and in the three dwelling levels. Moving the only rudder on the upper deck frees the main deck and creates a panoramic view; however, it eliminates an alternative location, then visibility, redundancy of the displays and access to the bridge become primary safety elements.
The successful configuration is the one that keeps margin: load, energy, autonomy and accessibility. It is this margin, more than the maximum, that distinguishes a pleasant boat on display from a convincing boat after many seasons.
