Configure a BRIG Navigator 22 means coordinating engine, rudder, batteries, tanks, drainage and loads within precise limits. The platform measures 6.60 meters without outboard, has a bay of 2.70 meters and accepts up to 225 hp, but these three numbers are not enough to define a ready boat. This guide starts from BRIG documents and translates each data into a delivery or maintenance verification. It does not attribute speed, consumption or equipment that are not confirmed on the individual specimen.
First rule: identify the real configuration
Number of hulls, plate of the manufacturer and separate order are the starting point. Year recorded, tubular material, propeller, foot, propeller, batteries and optional. Commercial photographs show possible combinations, not necessarily the standard. A useful board also contains detected masses, tank capacity, apparatus knobs and fuse position and valves. Without this inventory, maintenance proceeds by assumptions and differences between current and manual page cannot be resolved correctly.
Needles to be measured at delivery
The length without a motor is 6.60 meters and the indicative one with motor 7.24; the beam is 2.70 meters. The console brings the height to 2.07 meters, the T-top to 2.66. The well is declared 4,86 for 1,55 meters. For sheds, trolleys or boat seats, however, measure the ends of the foot, ladder, arch, antennas and covers. The inclination of the outboard changes the longitudinal encumbrance and the set unit can exceed the nominal dimensions.

Engine: power, mass and foot
BRIG recommends 200 hp and establishes 225 hp as maximum. The mass limit for propellers or propellers, controls and batteries is 560 kg. The installation can include a single 25-inch foot or two 20-inch foot. The check sequence does not stop at the horse tag: it is necessary to check the weight of the model, height on the mirror, clamping, sealing of the holes, freedom of the wiring and complete excursion of the steering. Elica and electronic parameters must be noted to compare future tests.
Steering and controls at the counter
With engine off, the steering wheel must move the motor from bar to bar without shots, hardening or interference. Fittings and pipes should not show oil, rubbing or narrow curves. The lever must be tested in the planned positions and the emergency stop device must be present and working. Behind the console you are looking for supported cablings, protected terminals and unobstructed access. Any screen or radio shown in the photo should be considered installed only after physical and documentary verification.

Balance of the masses
The empty boat weighs 935 kg; with the maximum equipment of factory and without motor reaches 1.010 kg. The light unit condition is 1.515 kg, the maximum load 870 kg and the load displacement 2.385 kg. The recommended load for people and luggage, excluding motor and liquids in fixed tanks, is 685 kg. T-top, arc, shower, additional batteries and equipment consume margin. For transport and lifting, you need a weight in operating order, with a list of what was on board.
Nine on the web, seven in the manual
The current page contains nine people; the manual 2022 indicates seven of 75 kg. In the weight sheet of the same manual appears “10 persons” near 525 kg, which corresponds to seven people and makes evident a editorial inconsistency. The delivery must solve it by reading the tag and certificate of specific hull. It does not automatically adopt the highest value and never exceeds the load in kilograms. Positions, hooks and closures of the seats must be checked before departure.

Fuel: circuit to be checked in full
The published capacity is 190 liters. The delivery list includes box, vent, tank, pipes, clamps, filter, indicator and engine connections. The compartment must be ventilated and free of persistent smells. During the refuelling, the engine and unnecessary utilities are switched off, the full is avoided until the edge and immediately absorbs each deposit. The autonomy is calculated only after consumption measures with load, propeller and registered regime, maintaining a prudent reserve.

Shower: optional 39 liters
The shower tank is indicated in 39 liters and the fresh water system is among the optional. When present, they identify vents, vents, automatic pump, filter, pipes and shower. Water should not be considered drinking. The pump must pressurize the circuit and then stop; repeated cycles to closed users require search for losses. Filter and reservoir must remain accessible, while before the frost the circuit must be completely empty.
Sentry pump and self draining
The declared equipment includes automatic bilge pump and double self-empting unit. They are circuits with different functions. You pour a controlled amount of water to verify the automatic start, then you try the manual command; grid and drain must remain free. Bridge drains should not be covered by bags or peaks. The bottom cap opens only when the boat is winged. A bilge that is regularly filled is not “managed” by the pump: it requires diagnosis of the origin.

Electrical and battery system
Delivery must include updated schematics, position of the switcher, flow of fuses and identification of utilities. Clamp clamps are controlled, battery fixing, cable protection and absence of loose conductors in the bilge. Automatic pump and circuits that remain powered must be recognizable. T-top, audio, lights or added electronics require a new energy balance. The resting voltage and during the start is a useful reference for subsequent checks.
Tubular: Pressure and Chemical Compatibility
The five rooms work at 0.2 bar nominal. It measures cold and rechecks when the temperature changes: the sun can increase the pressure. Non-approved compressors or appliances are used. Hypalon and PVC are both covered by documentation, so detergents and repair kits must be compatible with the actual material. Valves, seams, gluing and support areas are inspected by looking for abrasions, bubbles or slow losses; petrol, oil and solvents must be removed immediately.

Gavoni and technical access
Each door is open with seats and cushions in the configuration of use. Closures must hold panels without games and should not crush pipes or cables. The prodier gavone, the spaces under the seats and the room near the console should be photographed empty, so it will be possible to recognize changes or infiltration. Heavy equipment is low and secure. No object must block pump, battery, vents, drains or access to the rudder.
T-top, arch and ladder
T-top, aft arch and ladder with platform are optional. The T-top brings the height to 2.66 meters and adds aerodynamic load: plates, bolts and seals must be controlled, as well as the passage of any cables. The arc should not be used for functions other than those approved. The ladder must be reached by the water, open without interfering with the foot and support a safe lift. After each exit rinse hinges and hardware.

Water skiing eye and towing points
The model offers an eye dedicated to water skiing and a prodier Sampson pole. Points are not interchangeable automatically. Before use we read limits and destinations, we inspect the hardware and it happens that the top does not touch tubular, motor or people. Different towed loads require explicit confirmation of the suitability of the point. Even bits and lifting eyelets must be used only for the intended function, without turning a endowment into a universal point.
Delivery test in water
The test must be repeatable: people, fuel, water, equipment, propeller, conditions and regime. Starting, cooling, grafting, steering, command response, instrument operation and alarm absence are controlled. Then you can see water, drains and pump. Speed and consumption, if measured with verified tools, describe only that configuration. Vibrations, deviations of the steering wheel or difficulty in reaching the prescribed regimes impose technical control before acceptance.

periodic verification sequence
Before each exit: plate and load, pressure chambers, fuel, battery, steering, emergency stop, discharges, pump and equipment required for safety. Every month of intense use: clamps, filters, clamps, valves, hinges, supports and cables. At the end of the season: complete rinsing, water drainage, fuel management according to engine instructions, filter cleaning and gelcoat control. Each intervention must be recorded with date, engine hours and spare parts.
Final pre-purchase check
A used specimen requires consistent documents, material identification, weighing, tubular sealing test and famine inspection. They compare motor and mass with limits, solves the ability people on the tag and proves every user. Invoices and manuals must explain the changes. The verification sequence does not serve to fill boxes, but to connect each device to a limit, access and maintenance. Only then is Navigator 22 evaluated in the configuration that you actually purchase.
The closing minutes must distinguish defects that prevent use, jobs to be performed before delivery and deferable maintenance. For each point are useful photography, location, test carried out and subject responsible. After correction, the test concerned is repeated, without limiting itself to the invoice. This traceability is particularly important for pressure losses, fuel circuits, rudders and wires: they are systems in which unchecked repair leaves the original cause open.
