The BRIG Navigator 700 is an off-production model that requires a different verification sequence than a new boat. The official 2020 manual distinguishes two configurations: monomotor and bimotor. They change powers, stems, permitted mass of the propulsive group, number of people and load limits. This guide organises documentary, plant and testing controls without attributing to the individual equipment seen only in the photographs.
Open the dossier with legacy status
The manufacturer's page marks the Navigator 700 as dismissed. In the dossier, the date of construction, the identification code, the target market, the version of the stern mirror, the original engines and subsequent modifications must be inserted. They attach certificate, manual, schematics, invoices, workshop reports and battery history. A consistent configuration is not the richest one, but the one that allows you to connect each component to a documented installation. The unavailability of a dedicated spare must be ascertained before signing.

Identify single or double before each calculation
The two versions share hull from 6,99 for 2,80 meters, height 2,08 meters, tubular from 0,58 meters and cockpit 5,05 for 1,59 meters. The distinction starts from the mirror: the single uses 25 inch stem, the double two 20 inch stems. People and label of the market of origin
The limit stated in the manual is eleven people on the monomotor, with twelve reserved to the US market, and eight on the double version. The page summarizes twelve without this distinction. The manual shows the general layout, while filtering and connections depend on the installation. Each tube must have suitable marking, correct fixing and distance from edges or wires. Persistent smells, stains or unexplained variations of the level require stop of testing and inspection, not simple ventilation of the compartment.

Batteries, battery and charging
The number of batteries varies between configurations and accessories. The control identifies capacity, technology, date, protection, fixing, ventilation and conductor section. The poles must be protected and the cables supported. The detachment occurs and voltage is measured at rest, during start and charge. In the double version, the architecture must avoid that a common fault makes both engines unavailable, within the limits of the installed scheme. Each change must be reported in an updated design.
Steering in the two configurations
On off engines, you will travel the entire wheel race by observing cylinders, pipes, connection bar and encumbrance. Loss, hardening or contact with cables and wells should not appear. In the double you control the parallelism of the motors and the clamping of the connections. In water, the response must be progressive at reduced speed before increasing the regime. An aesthetically centered steering wheel does not prove the correct adjustment; it counts the real position of the engines and the symmetry of the response.

Path and deck drains
The pump is tested by introducing a controlled amount of water and checking both automatic start and manual control. Flow, pipe and discharge are observed off board. Cover discharges must be free and function in the actual assembly of the boat. Sediments, loose bands and objects in the gavones can compromise both systems. After the test, the residual water is noted and the areas not visible with light and mirror or optical instrument are inspected.
Ventilation and fire prevention
The manual prohibits blocking ventilation of compartments containing tanks, batteries or fuel components. The extinguisher is not provided by the manufacturer: type, number, capacity and position are the responsibility of the owner with competent advice. You need to stay accessible and not locked. They control expiration, indicator, support and reporting. The supply takes place with engines and heat sources off; each abnormal smell is resolved before the start.

Installed console and electronics
Plotter, VHF, audio, compass and tools can be changed several times in the life of a legacy boat. The verification sequence does not assume that what appears in the images is serial. Each device is identified with power and protection, then tested in the available functions. Behind the console you are looking for unprotected joints, cables without support, open holes and interference with the rudder. The compass should be observed with accused and switched off to identify obvious deviations due to new installations.

Cover seats and modules must open without hindering the steps and without hiding components that require maintenance. Hinges, closures, bases, seals and traces of water are controlled. The test records people, fuel, equipment, sea, wind, engines, propellers and mounting height. On a legacy boat, maintenance quality counts more than the amount of accessories added over time.
