The configuration of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 350 begins long before the list of accessories. The boat can have two or three cabins, standard keel, reduced or retractable, classic armo or variations of sail and different domestic packages. The technical manual declares 130 liters of fuel, 206 liters of water up to 336, 100 litre refrigerator and 80 black water tank. The standard auxiliary motor is indicated with 29 hp and axis line. To avoid an overload or difficult boat to maintain, each choice must be connected to the program, registered in the separate and physically verified delivery.

Two or three cabins: the first choice
The two-cabin version retains access to a workshop area under the left bench of the cockpit; with three cabins, the distribution changes and the same sector becomes gavone. This detail weighs on maintenance as well as additional bed. A reduced crew carrying equipment can prefer technical volume and storage, while a large family can value the third cabin. Before the order you have to walk both plants, open doors and simulate luggage and spare parts. The EC capacity does not coincide with the number of beds. Ventilation, privacy and access to plants must remain adequate in the chosen version.
Select the keel based on the bottom
The standard fishing keel 1,98 meters and weighs 1,580 kg; the reduced fishing 1,49 and weighs 1.860 kg; the retractable varies between 1,28 and 2,54 meters with 1,522 kg declared. Regular port, seabeds, seafaring and type of navigation must guide the selection. The lower depth should not be read as a free advantage: mass, geometry and maintenance change. In the retractable version you need to understand command, position indications, blocks and procedure in case of anomaly. The unit documents must report the correct variant. Curves and adjustments belonging to another keel should not be used to evaluate the specimen.
Standard sail plan and inventory
The published basic configuration includes full-batten semi-staff from 31,60 square meters and rollable genome to 110 percent from 23,40, High Strength Dacron polyester at horizontal cutting. Delivery must include sails, sticks, sack, rocks, straights and accessories described. Labels, sizes, seams and anti-band control UV without confuse a photographed sail with the ordered one. The crew tries to be set up, taken by third crews and enveloped under authorized conditions. A numbered list of sails, with date and maintenance, makes it easier to distinguish original equipment, replacements and later additions.
Packs, Code 0 and rollable frog
The alternatives include a 17.30-square-metre self-winding bow, a 26.30-foot winding frog, and a 48.70 code 0. The bearing range package adds dolphin, stopper, rivii and tuga winch to the right. Each combination requires a verification of compatibility: it is not enough to find the sail in the gavone. Rotaia, points of walls, drizzelli and storing must be present and dimensioned as planned. The self-driving bow simplifies the turns, while Code 0 requires procedures and space. The best configuration is that the crew can reduce and store without leaving free manoeuvres.
Winch, stopper and refer to the helmsman
Two main winchs Harken 40.2 ST, a 35.2 STA of tuga, stopper Spinlock and frog rocks postponed according to scheme to the German are described in the standard. At the delivery you follow each top from sailing to the point of work, controlling crossings, rubbings and markings. The drum must run regularly and the self-tailing retain the installed diameter. The bag holders belong to the packages and must be identified. The advantage of the controls close to the wheels is lost if the tops are disordered or the guests occupy the area. A short procedure for virata, reduction and recovery avoids contradictory movements.
Double helm and emergency government
The two blades have stainless steel shafts and textile connections; the emergency bars access from caps in the stern slab. The test includes rotation of the wheels, symmetry of the blades, absence of abnormal games and visual verification of the components accessible. The emergency bar must be located, assembled and tried at a stop boat, clearing the area first. Equipment and skipper must know the sequence without looking for the manual during a problem. After a hit or a bump, both blades and their media require control, although the government still seems to work.
Diesel engine and axis line
The equipment describes a 29 hp diesel, of 21 kW, with heat exchanger, axis line and helical fixed tripala. Model and serial number are to be read on the plate, because the distinction of the individual specimen prevails. The engine is accessible by the scale with front and side inspections. Levels, belt, filters, sockets, exhaust, supports, joint and axis seal are controlled. Cold start, temperature, charge, vibration and inverter response should be recorded. The soundproofing must be integrated and far from the hot parts. Hours do not replace invoices and intervention history.
130 litre fuel tank
The 130 litre rotomolated tank is indicated under the cockpit bed, with separator filter and level sensor. Control requires access to a vent, vent, lines and fittings. Odours, stains or hardened sleeves should not be considered normal. The indicator should be compared with quantity known during the first supply. Autonomy is calculated only with consumption measured on the unit, declared conditions and prudent reserve; the capacity is not enough. For long periods of inactivity follow the indications of the engine and the fuel used, avoiding unapproved additives.
Quadro 12 V and batteries
The 12 V frame is placed at the card table, with service switches, USB and switches. The standard indicates predisposition for a 50 Ah engine battery, 125 A alternator, positive and negative switches and charger. Packages can add 100 Ah service batteries and monitoring. The real configuration is reconstructed by plates, schema and wiring, not by the general description. Each battery must be fixed and protected; clamps and fuses must be accessible. They measure tension at rest, charge by motor and fall under utilities, keeping values as reference.
Bench 220 V and charger
220 V socket with differential, internal sockets, monitors and chargers of 40 A appear in the set-up packages and should not be presumed on each boat. If present, cable, connectors, protection, polarity and charger behaviour with installed benches occur. The cable must not remain immersed or in mechanical tension. Before disconnecting, the loads are disabled according to the procedure. Changes, inverters or additional panels later require updated patterns and dedicated protections. A powerful charger does not fix a degraded battery or a system with oxidized contacts.
Fresh water and boiler
The basic capacity is 206 liters and can reach 336 with the option. The circuit uses semi-rigid pipes, pump for continuous service, 19 litre storage and 25-litre boiler. It fills with clean water by observing vents and vents, so the plant is under pressure and the utilities are tested. A pump that distributes to closed taps can signal loss or accumulation problem. Boiler and mixing must work without unstable temperatures. For wintering or sanitizing, the materials and appliances are installed. The second tank, if ordered, must appear in the separate and in the reading system.
Black, Sentry and Gas Waters
The black water tank is declared by 80 liters, with manual marine toilet, gravity discharge and suction fitting. Valves, vents and pipe path must be identified in accordance with local rules. The manual bilge pump is controlled by the cockpit; any additional pumps must be invented without attributing them to the standard. The gas compartment is dedicated and the board includes a leak detector. Reducer, tube, closure, drainage and component date are checked. Kitchen and refrigeration
Stainless sink, two-burner stove and top refrigerator of 100 liters with small freezer compartment constitute the basis described. Packages can replace plan and cooking appliance, so each item must be listed. Turn on, stop, door stop, sink drainage and refrigerator absorption. The antiroll board must retain objects without creating edges in the steps. Water and gas require closings. After use, refrigerator and toilets leave dry and ventilated. A complete kitchen adds autonomy only if energy, water and storage are dimensioned together.
Electronics and wheel screens
The blanket provides accommodation for GPS screens at government stations, but brand, size, transducers and network depend on order. The verification sequence lists each display, sensor, radio and pilot with version and serial number. They control start, brightness, wind data, depth, speed and motor, distinguishing values received from direct measurements. Alarms must be understandable and audible. Exposed cables and connectors require water protection. Software updates and cartography only run after backup. An independent portable device and adequate cards remain useful in the event of network failure.
Passers, deck and optional deck
The inclined and without steps facilitate movement from the wheels to the bow. The bathroom platform, table, capote, awning and kitchens are configurable. Each option changes the size and storage. There are hinges, stops, drains and locations of the removed components. The platform must close positively; table and protections should not hinder emergency bar, raft gavone or maneuvers. Peaks and parabords must stay away from the propeller. The verification is repeated with the blanket ready to navigate, not only in the wide arrangement used at the mooring.

Before the test you compare the number of hulls, CE category, keel, layout, engine, sails and packages with contract and invoice. All doors open, valves and switches are recorded, lights, pumps, refrigerator, gas and electronics are tested. The engine is started with available cooling; steering and inverter move in the free area. Removable sails and equipment are counted. Manuals, keys, passwords and guarantees enter the file. Each defect is photographed and associated with a deadline. The final signature comes only when equipment and corrections are verifiable, not on the basis of verbal promises.
Routine after navigation
Engine, fuel, water, tensions and anomalies are noted upon return. The sails are dried and placed without forced folds; rocks and drizzes are ordered in the bags. Pozzetto and blanket receive cleaning compatible with the finishes, leaving the waste free. Sentina, engine compartment, axis seal and filters are observed before each track disappears. The gas is closed according to procedure and the refrigerator left ventilated if switched off. Connection to dock and charger follows a fixed sequence. A short but recorded routine makes obvious gradual changes.
Balanced configuration
The Sun Odyssey 350 works best when options respond to a precise program. Chiglia and sails define navigation; two or three cabins determine storage and accessibility; energy and water must support the real crew. The platform and protections improve the mooring life but require space and maintenance. No package replaces knowledge of government procedures, reduction, bilge and circuit stop. A well configured boat is readable: each command has a label, each component appears in the separate and every verification can be repeated by the owner or by a technician without improper disassembly.
