When the frog always stumbles at the same height, the system is offering a coordinate. On Ronstan Series 22, that share can coincide with a joint, gate, screw, deformation or point where the sail tilts a cart. The correct answer is not to increase the strength on the straight. The maneuvers are discharged, it identifies the 22 mm rail and compares the behaviour of more trolleys in the same section, preserving spheres, sailing and safety of the crew.
Stop the maneuver keeps the first clue
A winch can overcome resistances that the hand immediately recognizes, but transfers the load to body, fixations and fabric. As soon as the force changes, it stops, it stabilizes the boat and it reduces straight, snout and vang with order. It marks the share of the hard point without putting hands at loaded components. This position will guide all subsequent tests and prevent random attempts.
Confirm that the wheel is Series 22
The family uses 22mm rail, available as mast track and as luff groove. You read the code when accessible, you measure the section and you photograph the profile. It does not prove a cart of other series for comparison: a seemingly close form can damage track or spheres. The diagnosis notes even if the trolleys are traditional or captive.

The hood is not the end
The end cap protects the edge of the profile, while the alloy end stop holds the trolleys. If the resistance appears at the end, it is checked that the end is stable, intact and in the correct position. You do not remove it until each cart is held with a safe method. Also in the captive, the balls remain in the body but the cart can go out and fall.
If everyone stops at the same altitude, observe the rail
It slowly takes an intermediate and, at a second controlled moment, another cart to the point marked. If both change resistance at the same point, the suspect focuses on joint, gate, fixing or profile. If only one brakes along several strokes, the defect follows the body or its connection. The test is carried out without side tensions of the sail.
325mm gate is a sensitive point
Series 22 provides gate strokes of 325mm for mast track and luff groove. The function is to allow entry and exit of the trolleys, so it has to open for service and close itself while maintaining continuity of racing. An unlined edge, a protruding fixing or an incomplete closure can create the recurring stunt. It does not undo the profile in operation without having verified installation and cause.

The intermediate trolley is the best comparison item
The traditional intermediate measures 64 for 57 mm; the captive 57 for 47 and exists for standard rail and luff groove. Without the direct compression of a stick, it helps to separate the friction of the track from the one imposed by the sail. If it flows free where the trolley stick brakes, articulation, receptacle and lateral tension are observed before intervening on the rail.
Clean before interpreting wear
The accessible stretch is rinsed with fresh water and left to drain. Crystallized salt and particles can create a resistance that looks like a joint. No generic products are added to make the race smoother temporarily: they can retain dirt and delete clues. After cleaning the test is repeated at the same altitude and with the same load level.

A protruding screw produces a net symptom
The mast track Series 22 from 2.025 and 3.025 mm are associated with M6 and slug flanked fixings; the gate has four points. A head not flush or a poor slug can interfere with the body. The visual control uses bright light and does not provide random locks: if a fastening is mobile or the support is not continuous, it is necessary to restore the planned installation.
Joints can only be opened under load
At rest two traits can appear aligned. With live sail, a difference of support can create a step. It then compares the exhaust passage with a second moderate voltage test, observing the profile without approaching the moving parts. If the resistance is born only under load, the geometry of the rail and the alignment of the shaft take priority.

The pen can tilt the upper trolley
The traditional pen cart measures 206 for 57 mm; the captive about 233 for 47. When the encampment is close to the head, you control the corner of the drizza, the tablet and the residual space. An uncentered traction can make the body work on the edge of the track. Diagnosis observes if resistance changes gradually loosening tension.
The stick can turn a free passage into a stop
The traditional rack size 77 for 57 mm, captive 72 for 47. If the intermedium exceeds the point and the point of the stick, the joint occurs. The receptacle must move without getting to bar and without imposing rotation to the cart. Sewings, covers or terminals outside axis can only reduce freedom when the stick is compressed.
The quick-release must be completely closed
The rapid traditional size 120 for 57 mm; the captive about 116 for 47, with variants for standard and luff groove. A partial or dirty closure can introduce game and inclination. The mechanism is examined in held sail and discharged, without uncontrolled opening. If it does not reach the correct position clearly, the boat does not resume the manoeuvre.

Reef changes the system of forces
The traditional reef trolley measures 130 for 57 mm; the captive about 86 for 47 and is also available for luff groove. If the hard point appears by taking the hand, the direction of the borosa and the new point of walls are observed. A lateral traction can tilt the body while leaving the full sailing race free. The correction concerns referral, not greater lubrication.

Captive means retained spheres, not indestructible system
Captive balls facilitate the handling of the cart out of rail, while sliderod participate in static loads. However, contamination, damage, deformed body and exit of the cart are still possible if the end of the carriage is missing. During inspection, retention is not used to work without containment. Each disassembly follows a procedure and keeps order and orientation of the components.
The luff groove requires consistent trolleys
Ronstan proposes goat trolleys specific to the luff groove variant, including pen, intermediates, sticks, fast and reef. A replacement for the standard rail is not chosen because “enter”. Compare code, width, contact profile and function. If the identification is not certain, the component remains firm and requires professional verification before reassembling the sail.
Noise must be connected to the position
A dry blow on the gate, a continuous scraping or a cigolio under load are different signals. It is recorded when they begin and if they coincide with the increase of strength. An external noise can come from sailing, lazy bag or steak; noise and simultaneous resistance impose the stop instead. Repeating the maneuver many times to listen better can aggravate the anomaly.
Altitude control requires expertise and safe conditions
If the point is located at the pen, there is no sudden ascent with sea or wind. The boat is insured, adequate protection systems and competent personnel are adopted. Many clues can be collected from the bridge by observing altitude and response to tensions. The need for close vision does not justify exposure to a higher risk than the defect itself.

Crepes, deformations and mobile fixtures close the test
A cracked body, a bent rail, missing spheres, unstable gate or damaged finish require firming and qualified intervention. They are not conditions to be “mountain” continuing to taste the sail. They document code, share and images, put the frog in safety and prepares the correct repair. The diagnosis has already reached its purpose when identifying a structural limit.
The final verification must repeat the complete path
After cleaning or approved intervention, try first the exhaust section, then the sail with moderate tensions. Climbing and descent are observed separately. It includes the passage of the gate and the taking of the reef, because the defect can depend on the setup. The result is only acceptable if it repeats without new noises, inclinations or sudden changes of force.
A technical card avoids the next failure hunt
It is noted type of rail, cart codes, gate location, symptom altitude, cleaning performed and test response. A photo of the section and the fixings completes the card. When you need a spare, the tool receives data and not suppositions. The historian also allows to recognize whether the hard point moves, worsens or coincides with a previous intervention.
Verify the collection frog completes control
After trying uphill and downhill, you see how the trolleys are located in the lower area. The weight of the fabric should not push sideways on the gate or on an end, and the sticks should not use a cart as a lever. If the hard point appears only while the sail accumulates, we control lazy bag, folds and cart sequence. The problem can therefore belong to the management of the sail and not to the track in the scored quota during an isolated test.
Separate cold behavior from that after use
A clean rail can be smooth at the first race and change after repeated maneuvers or after the sail has remained loaded. They compare conditions without turning the test into a stress test. If the resistance grows, it stops and examines alignment, contamination and contact signs. The change in time is important: it indicates that the system changes its layout or that a particle moves in the path.
The difference between the climb and the descent locates the load
During the ascent the traction of the drizza prevails; during the descent gravity, friction and arrangement of the fabric. If the stump appears only by hiring, you can see pen, straight angle and trolleys loaded up. If it emerges only by lowering, they control the accumulation of the sail and the ability of the bodies to remain aligned without traction. An identical defect in both directions makes a stable geometric obstruction more likely.
The applicant's share is a fact, not a nuisance
On Series 22, an always equal stop quickly narrows the field if the manoeuvre is stopped in time. Compare multiple trolleys, separate cargo of the sail and runway, check gate and joints leads to a verifiable diagnosis. Strength erases these differences; observation makes them usable. A safe frog returns to flow because the cause has been removed, not because the winch has exceeded it.
