A luxurious alternative to cruise
The Solaris 36, presented in 1982 by the SE.RI.GI yards. by Aquileia, it represents an interesting novelty on the Italian market, usually lacking for hulls of this category. The boat, 11.05 meters long, stands out for a balance between comfort and sailing performance, with spacious and comfortable interiors. Gigi De Cesco and Rinaldo Puntin, owners of the construction site, unveiled the secrets of the success of this boat, which aroused interest among sailors and yacht owners.
Avant-garde design and technology
The construction of Solaris 36 is based on a sandwich processing system with Airex of fiberglass, ensuring a combination of lightness and resistance. The generous use of wood gives the boat a luxurious appearance rarely seen in other Italian boats. The interior, designed to maximize space, is characterized by luxury finishes and a particular attention to detail. The care in the construction is remarkable, with lamellars and solids in homogeneous teak, which presupposes an accurate choice of materials.
The quality of the product and the combination of comfort and performance are the main factors of the success of Solaris 36. The boat is equipped with a Volvo Penta 25 HP inboard engine, which ensures a cruise speed of 6.4 knots. At the customer's request, you can mount more powerful engines, such as the 36 HP Volvo or the 40 HP Bukh. The particular location of the engine in pond rack allows easy access from cockpit and stern cabin, with special soundproofing possibilities.
The Solaris 36 was premiered in Genoa at the last Salone, where it aroused interest in its combination of quality and favorable price. The construction site SE.RI.GI. has already delivered the first unit, while three hulls are currently under construction. The price, around 100 million VAT excluded, is an affordable alternative to the most expensive models. Solaris 36 is a luxurious and comfortable alternative for those looking for an uncompromising cruise experience.
At the helm there was the well-known Ligurian skipper Beppe Fissore, who expressed enthusiasm for the sailing performance of the hull. The boat moves with excellent agility and handling, even in wind conditions on the 20 knots. The interior design, with three separate cabins, offers high comfort. The perfection of electrical and hydraulic systems, together with special soundproofing, contributes to an unprecedented browsing experience.
The SE.RI.GI construction site. stated that the goal is to replace the Solaris 37′ with a more modern means, respecting the class and tradition of the construction site. There would be good reasons to prepare a hull with particular sport setting, but at the Shipyard it is interested to continue in the road of maximum comfort and of the highest reliability to guarantee also the value in time. The boat’s endowment includes frog and bow, with the Canclini tree with two crucifixes. The yard is in contact with both Horizon Italia and the Velman of Manfredini for the sails. Solaris 36 is an alternative that compares positively with the Nordic yards, thanks to the favorable price and the quality of the volume inside. —
