A cutting-edge project for modern boating
At the Genoa International Boat Show, the world of nautical saw the debut of Zefiro, an Italian boat that combines innovation, technology and design. Designed with a “full foiling, full electric and full carbon” approach, Zefiro represents a step forward in the realization of boats that not only tell the future, but put it in the water. The goal is not to beat record or pursue spectacularity, but to make usable, comfortable and credible a technology that until recently was confined to the most extreme races.
Electric technology and foil are effectively married, allowing silent, clean and stable navigation. The boat, 9.70 meters long, is equipped with a patented retractable foil system, which allows to reduce fishing and improve maneuverability. When the foils are active, the boat rises and drastically reduces the wet surface, with positive consequences on consumption, comfort and relationship with the wave.
A sustainable alternative to transfer and tour
Zefiro is designed to work in contexts where electrical technology is a choice not only symbolic, but technical. With two 37.8 kWh batteries and a 60 kW engine, the boat can reach a cruise speed of 20 knots and a maximum of 28 knots, with a range of 70 nautical miles by load. These numbers testify to a design aimed at offering an efficient navigation experience, without transforming each move into a muscle test.
Zefiro's versatility extends to different contexts, such as transfers, tours and premium services in protected waters. The boat is suitable to operate in areas where combustion engines are prohibited or badly tolerated, and can also be used next to the superyacht, where consistency with the profile of the shipowner, comfort and ease of management are increasingly required.
Design and customization for a unique experience
The design of Zefiro was designed by Adidesign, with the commitment to create a new formal language, able to tell innovation without turning it into something aggressive. The boat is available in two versions: Open and Dome, with lines looking for a delicate balance between technology and comfort. The entire project focuses on a reliable, advanced but accessible navigation experience. Zefiro is designed to enter the garages with side or stern access, and offers a high level of customization on colors, fabrics and accessories. This aspect is crucial to meet the needs of a market that requires not only technology, but also personality and style.
