The new Jeanneau EX range, presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, represents a step forward in designing motor yachts. The first model, the EX 34, measures just under 10 meters and stands out for a design philosophy aimed at eliminating the superfluous and focusing on the essentials of navigation. Available in two configurations, Hardtop and Cabin, the boat is positioned as a versatile, accessible and intuitive solution, ideal for both experienced yachters and for those approaching the boat for the first time.
A philosophy of simplicity and connection with the sea
The EX range comes from a clear idea: reduce complexity and increase the connection with the marine environment. The acronym EX comes from Elements and Crossplatform, two concepts that describe a boat designed to fit different situations and use. The goal is to extend the navigation season and make the experience on board accessible to a wider audience. Jeanneau has made simplicity one of the central elements of the project, creating a boat immediately understandable, intuitive to manage and reassuring in maneuvers, without sacrificing the characteristics necessary to face the most difficult marine conditions.
The possibility to choose between an open configuration and a more protected one allows you to adapt the experience to the different climatic conditions. The setting promotes direct contact with the sea and the surrounding environment, both during navigation and in anchor stops. The Hardtop version was the flag of the debut at the French salon, with a stern well configured as a versatile space around a large sunbathing.
Two configurations for one platform
The EX 34 is based on a deep-V platform specifically developed for the project, with a compact and light hull combined with a bimotor outboard motorization. The two versions, Hardtop and Cabin, share the same deck but interpret differently the relationship between protection, open spaces and comfort. The Hardtop prefers direct contact with the sea and the surrounding environment, while the Cabin offers a rigid glazing rudder and the possibility to climateize the environment, expanding the period of use of the boat.
Both versions have a transformable living room with integrated kitchen, protected by a wide coverage. Undercover, both offer two cabins and a separate bathroom, making the EX 34 suitable for both a daily navigation near the coast, and an open sea trip or ray stops. The standard configuration was designed directly for navigation, while the optionals are organized according to the modes of use, without turning the boat into a list of equipment.
The philosophy of Jeanneau EX is based on the desire to overcome the concept of the boat used exclusively during the summer season. The Hardtop prefers the relationship with the outside and direct contact with the sea, while the Cabin adds a higher level of protection and climate comfort. With EX, Jeanneau introduces a new interpretation of compact yachts, built around simplicity, versatility and direct relationship with the sea. The debut of the Hardtop version at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 represents the first step of a new family destined to further expand the Jeanneau audience, addressing both experienced yachters and those looking for a first experience in intuitive and reassuring sea. The EX 34 range opens this philosophy through a dedicated deep-V platform, two configurations and an architecture that combines navigation, conviviality and overnight stay.
